Pigment red 48:2 for Plastics P.R.48:2 is also used in plastics, where it affords good tinctorial strength. Such colorations are heat stable up to 230°C for 5 minutes, but higher temperatures shift the color towards bluer, duller shades. At higher temperature, on the other hand, more reduced colorations (1/9 SD) shift the shade to yellower and cleaner hues.
