描述

Product Description – PR108

Cadmium Red (PIGMENT RED 108) is characterized by strong tinting strength, vivid color, excellent light fastness, weather resistance, superior opacity and no migration, with their hues ranging from yellowish red to deep purplish red—higher CdSe content results in deeper reds. Filled Cadmium Reds further offer advantages like cost reduction, lower density, reduced oil absorption and better dispersibility in organic media. As the preferred red pigment in the enamel and glass industries, Cadmium Red is also widely applied in plastics, masterbatches, ceramics, coatings, paper, rubber, leather, fine arts pigments, gravure printing inks, colored sand and stone construction materials, electronic materials and more.

Recommended Application

Coatings: auto paints, high-quality baking finishes
Printing inks: Gravure printing inks, PVC screen printing inks
Plastics: PE, PP, PC, PBT, PVC, PU, POM, PS, PET, EVA, ABS

  • Light fastness: Light fastness rating is assessed on 1 to 8 Blue Wool scale where 1 = ‘Poor’ and 8 = ‘Excellent’.
  • Heat Stability : Heat stability values given indicate the maximum temperature at which the pigment can be stoved for 10 min. on the full shade and in reductions without undergoing any significant change in shade.
  • Oil absorption: The oil absorption is determined on the basis of EN ISO 787-5 and given in g linseed oil per 100 gm. pigment.
  • Solvent bleeding: The bleeding in solvents is tested using the powder grades and the visual rating given on 1 to 5 Grey scale
where 1 = ‘Heavy bleeding’ and 5 = ‘No bleeding”
