Product Description – PB15:4

HP BLUE 4558 (PIGMENT BLUE 15:4) shows largely the same coloristic and fastness properties as P.B.15:3 types, but often exhibit much better rheology. As with stabilized Copper Phthalocyanine Blue types, stabilization through surface treatment has proven to decrease the solvent fastness of Copper Phthalocyanine Blue, sometimes considerably so, making the pigment more sensitive to aromatics, alcohols, ethylene glycol, and ketones. It also gained importance in gravure printing inks, particularly in toluene based publication gravure printing inks and in various types of flexographic printing inks. They now dominate in these areas. It is optimized for use in specific media, such as publication gravure printing inks. In these media the pigment exhibits high tinctorial strength and good flow.

Technische Daten:

• Lichtechtheit: Die Lichtechtheit wird auf einer Skala von 1 bis 8 bewertet, wobei 1 = ‘schlecht’ und 8 = ‘ausgezeichnet’ ist.
• Hitzestabilität: Die angegebenen Werte für die Hitzestabilität geben die maximale Temperatur an, bei der das Pigment 10 Minuten lang im Vollton und in Abzügen eingebrannt werden kann, ohne dass sich der Farbton wesentlich verändert.
• Ölabsorption: Die Ölabsorption wird auf der Grundlage von EN ISO 787-5 bestimmt und in g Leinöl pro 100 g Pigment angegeben.
• Ausbluten in Lösungsmitteln: Das Ausbluten in Lösungsmitteln wird anhand der Pulversorten getestet und die visuelle Bewertung auf einer Grauskala von 1 bis 5 angegeben.
